"Rules and Conditions"

Any Official may at any time: -

a) Instruct competitors to obey all rules and conditions as set down by MBRFC committee.
b) Inspect any registered contestants fishing equipment or boat.
c) Instruct any registered competitor to hand over all fish they have caught.

Fishing begins at 6:00am Saturday 24th and concludes at close of the weigh-in at 1:30pm Sunday 25th and entrants may fish where they choose (motors are not permitted in backwaters) and if contestants are not within the confined weigh-in area by the time the weigh-in closes they will not have their catch weighed.

Saturday weigh-in Carp Only closes at 4:00pm Sunday weigh-in closes at 1:30pm

All regulations and directions from Primary Industries Officers must be adhered to at all times.

Contestants must at all times fish with-in their category as marked on their registration form.

Catfish & Silver Perch are protected and we do not encourage the taking of Murray Cod so they will not be weighed.

Competitor’s tags must be worn at all times especially at the weigh-in.

Any one fish may only win one prize and all prizes must be accepted, as there is no cash in lieu of any prizes.

All persons competing in the MBRFC and any associated activities do so at their own risk.

All officials of the MBRFC with identifying letter or wearing MBRFC shirt must be obeyed at all times.

Competitors entered in the boat sections must at all times on Sunday 25th move to the centre of the river when changing from one fishing spot to another.

Any competitor losing their registration/wrist tag must as soon as possible notify an official so a new tag may be issued.

Competitors must be in the weigh-in area on Saturday by 4:00pm and Sunday by 1:30pm

NO EXCEPTIONS

THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IS FINAL

Saturday’s Heaviest Bag Section Carp Only and on Sunday the Heaviest bag may contain any non-native fish species European Carp & Redfin

Disqualification: -

1) Fishing whilst not displaying registration tag.
2) Retaining any illegal fish - including under size fish.
3) Disobeying directions from or rules as set by MBRFC Officials or Primary Industries Officers or Marine Officers.

All fish winning a major prize will be gutted after being weighed-in

MBRFC reserves the right to supply the name of any disqualified person or person acting illegally to the SA Police, SA Fisheries and any other fishing competition conducted in South Australia.
